Satute

The Statute is the fundamental legal act that regulates the organization, governance and activity of the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”. The current Statute was approved by the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo on 11 July 2024 and replaces the 2012 Statute.

The document contains 214 articles organized into 13 chapters — defining the governing authorities, academic staff, student representation, educational and scientific activity, quality assurance and financial management of the university.

What does the Statute contain?

• General provisions — name, seat, symbols, mission and autonomy

• Organizational structure — Governing Council, Senate, Rector and Vice-Rectors

• Academic units — faculties, institutes and organizational units

• Educational activity — study programs, admission and assessment of students

• Scientific activity — scientific research and publications

• Academic staff — appointment, promotion and academic titles

• Student representation — Student Parliament and student councils

• Quality assurance, financial management and transitional provisions
