UP SIGNS A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION WITH THE ALDO MORO UNIVERSITY, ITALY
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Merita Koçinaj-Berisha, Vice-Rector for International Relations in the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” has stayed in Bari, Italy for several days, where she signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Aldo Moro University of Bari.
The signing of the agreement was realized in the Council room of the University of Bari, where Antonio Felice Uricchio and the coordinator and master of International MA. prof. Francesco Inchingolo were present from the host University. While, as a representative of UP, in this ceremony, was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Merita Koçinaj-Berisha, Vice-Rector for International Relations.
Vice-Rector Berisha said that this agreement establishes within a legal framework, the cooperation which has earlier started between the two universities, enabling the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and the organization of joint activities in the future.
Meanwhile, Rector Uricchio was happy for the formalization of this cooperation. He said that the University of Sciences “Aldo Moro”, with the signing of this agreement, expands the cooperation with the University of Prishtina, with the purpose of internationalization and the promotion of teaching in international level.
The purpose of this memorandum is to enable the expansion of exchanges between the two universities, for students, academic and administrative staff.
The memorandum also provides opportunities of organizing joint activities, programs and research in international level.
During the visit in Bari, Italy, Vice-Rector Berisha also participated in the Congress “Technological innovations and experimental protocols in periodontology and oral surgery. The use of growth factors, clinical activities, and perspectives.” In her speech, in the Congress, the Vice-Rector informed the present people for the signed agreement and the opportunity of cooperation through the Summer University, and during the days of the Congress she also had the chance, to meet experts from different countries and discuss about the opportunities of expanding international cooperation between them.
