UP Concludes "Warm UP" Winter School with Meeting of Luxembourg Partners
On the last day of the University of Prishtina’s “Warm UP” Winter School, university leaders met with the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Kosovo, His Excellency Mr. Eric Dietz, and the Resident Representative in Kosovo of the Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation (LuxDev), Mr. Giovanni Tordini.
The Luxembourg Embassy and LuxDev supported the first edition of UP’s Winter School, “Warm UP,” which aims to become a regular event and a meeting place for local and international students with professional experience, as well as for those just starting their careers.
During the meeting, the university leaders thanked the Ambassador and the LuxDev representative for this support, and they also discussed expanding cooperation between universities in both countries across different fields.
They highlighted in particular the possibility of working together in health, information technology linked to UP’s Artificial Intelligence Center (AI-UP), creative industries, arts, engineering, improving students’ skills, and their future employment.
Ambassador Dietz and LuxDev representative Tordini were welcomed by the Rector, Prof. Arben Hajrullahu; the Vice‑Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange, Prof. Rozafa Basha; and the Vice‑Rector for Scientific Research, Projects, and Innovation, Prof. Avni Hajdari.
Ambassador Eric Dietz had also visited the University of Prishtina on February 5, 2025, when he said Kosovo should build an academic and research ecosystem connected to those already in place in Luxembourg.
