UP and Türkiye’s Ondokuz Mayis University Explore Cooperation Opportunities

A high-level delegation from Ondokuz Mayis University of Samsun, Türkiye, visited the Rectorate of the University of Prishtina.

The Rector of this university, Prof. Fatma Aydin, the International Cooperation Coordinator, Prof. Ahmet Aycan, and the Professor from the Department of History in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. İlkay Erken, were welcomed by the Rector, Prof. Arben Hajrullahu, and the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange, Prof. Rozafa Basha. The guests at the meeting were also accompanied by the Chairman of the Prizren "Esnaf" Association, Varis Gjejlani, and other members of the association.

Rector Aydin proposed joint projects between the two universities and cooperation in the fields of medicine and surgery, while Rector Hajrullahu mentioned information technology and engineering as potential areas of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the leaders of both universities agreed to identify areas of bilateral interest so that any future agreement would be in the service of students and professors.

Ondokuz Mayis University of Samsun, Türkiye, founded in 1975, is ranked among the top 1200 to 1500 universities in the world according to the "QS World University Rankings." It offers studies in the fields of medicine, agriculture, law, engineering, education, economics, tourism, arts, humanities, etc.

Currently, six students from Kosovo are studying at this university's Faculty of Education.
