On its anniversary, the University of Prishtina signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Agricultural University of Tirana, strengthening collaboration between the two institutions.

The memorandum was signed on the 56th anniversary of the University of Prishtina’s founding. It sets up a framework for cooperation based on shared interests.

The agreement includes plans for student and faculty exchanges, joint research programs, and opportunities for academic staff and researchers from both universities. It also aims to support early-career researchers and encourage joint scientific projects.

The memorandum was signed by Rector Prof. Dr. Arben Hajrullahu on behalf of the University of Prishtina, and by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku on behalf of the Agricultural University of Tirana.

During the meeting, both sides stressed that the memorandum should not remain only on paper, but must be put into practice. They agreed that universities must recognize their role and work closely together to stay relevant in today’s world.

Signing cooperation agreements on the University of Prishtina’s anniversary is becoming a tradition. Last year, on its 55th anniversary, three such agreements were signed.

In 2025 alone, the University of Prishtina signed more than 100 cooperation agreements with universities abroad, as well as with various international and local institutions, far exceeding the goals set in its 2023–2025 Strategic Plan.
