The University of Prishtina has been selected as a central partner by the international company Ascent/Acuity Knowledge Partners.

Among many universities in the region and beyond, the University of Prishtina was chosen by Ascent/Acuity Knowledge Partners, a leading global provider of bespoke research, data management, analytics and AI solutions, to build a strategic partnership in the field of digital technology.

A delegation from the company visited the University of Prishtina today to present the framework for potential cooperation, assessing UP as the most suitable institution for developing new capacities in future technologies. During the meeting, discussions focused on how UP prepares its students for the job market in the information technology sector, as well as the opportunities for Kosovar youth to participate in the company's training and employment programs.

Representatives from Ascent/Acuity praised the exceptional potential and high critical thinking level of the University of Prishtina's students, who are capable of providing solutions for complex problems and adapting to the rapid changes occurring in the world of digitalization. They emphasized that UP should play a central role in the development of digital, financial, and analytical technologies in Kosovo and the wider region.

The leadership of the University of Prishtina, under the guidance of Rector Prof. Dr. Arben Hajrullahu, reaffirmed their commitment to close cooperation, stressing that investment in these fields will contribute to the public good by building new capacities, creating opportunities for youth, and strengthening Kosovo's position in the regional digital ecosystem.

The Ascent/Acuity Knowledge Partners delegation was accompanied by Taulant Abazi, co-founder and director of the company "Arquail." The guests were welcomed by the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Prof. Dr. Arben Hajrullahu; the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange, Prof. Dr. Rozafa Basha; a Professor from the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Krenare Pireva-Nuçi; and professors from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. Eliot Bytyçi and Prof. Dr. Kadri Sylejmani.

The parties agreed to develop a concrete cooperation plan with clear implementation timelines, which will include joint research projects, training, mentorship, and professional exchanges in the field of artificial intelligence and data analysis.

This visit comes just a few months after the establishment of the Center for Artificial Intelligence (AIUP) at the University of Prishtina in June 2025, an initiative that is already positioning UP as a regional leader in the development of advanced technologies and a reliable partner for the international industry.
