University of Prishtina Brings European Climate Project to Podujeva — CLIPP Project Launches
The CLIPP project — Climate Integrated Pathways for Podujeva, has now begun. It was chosen for funding under the second round of the “P2R — Pathways2Resilience” call, which is part of the Horizon Europe program.
This call selected 62 regions from across Europe (full list here) to create climate change adaptation plans under EU schemes. The city of Podujeva, represented by the University of Prishtina, is among them.
The project is coordinated and managed by Prof. Dr. Kadri Sylejmani from the University of Pristina’s Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Municipality of Podujeva is a partner in the consortium, handling the project’s local implementation.
The Pathways2Resilience program includes 100 local and regional authorities in total, representing more than 100 million European citizens. Its goal is to prepare these regions to deal with major climate risks like floods, heatwaves, and droughts.
Each chosen region, including Podujeva, will receive €210,000 in funding. They will also get access to specialized tools, expert advice, and platforms for learning from other regions. The project will run for 18 months, strengthening cooperation between the University of Prishtina, local institutions, and European partners to build resilience against climate change.
