UNDP Presents Detailed Report on the Digital Transformation of the University of Prishtina
Representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kosovo presented a detailed report today at the Rectorate outlining strategies for implementing the digital transformation of the University of Prishtina (UP).
The report was presented by Mr. Fatmir Belallari, UNDP’s Information and Communication Technology Expert, alongside Mr. Nuno Queirós, Head of UNDP’s Office in Kosovo.
The presentation was delivered to UP Rector Prof. Arben Hajrullahu; Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Projects, and Innovation Prof. Avni Hajdari; and Prof. Krenare Pireva-Nuçi of the Faculty of Education.
Expressing gratitude to UNDP for the digital transformation roadmap, Rector Hajrullahu reaffirmed that the University of Prishtina cannot achieve meaningful progress without a comprehensive digital overhaul.
The UNDP report outlines 59 actions to be implemented in three phases over the next three to five years, positioning UP as a digitally transformed institution that keeps pace with modern advancements and remains competitive in the era of artificial intelligence.
The digital transformation of Kosovo’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious university—ranked highest among Albanian-language institutions in the Western Balkans and globally—will also bolster higher education across Kosovo and inspire other national universities.
