Third Day of the Summer University: Exploring Pristina, Traditions, and Kosovar Cuisine
Pristina, July 9, 2025 – The third day of the Prishtina International Summer University was dedicated to introducing Kosovo’s traditions, cuisine, and history. Key events included:
Visit by International Students to Cultural and Historical Sites in Pristina
The visiting students immersed themselves in Pristina’s past and present by exploring landmarks and walking through the streets and squares of the capital. They closely observed Kosovo’s bygone life preserved at the Ethnological Museum, visited the Mother Teresa Cathedral, and paid respect at the Heroines Memorial, among other sites.
Traditional Evening with Folk Music and Kosovar Culinary Specialties
Summer University participants enjoyed folk songs and dances while savoring traditional cuisine. The Minatori Ensemble delivered a vibrant performance of folk dances.
During the day, alongside regular lectures, Professor Muhamet Arican from Boğaziçi University’s Faculty of Education (Turkey) held a public lecture titled Beyond Right and Wrong: A New Approach to Cognitive Evaluation in the modeling studio of the Faculty of Architecture. Meanwhile, short film screenings and other activities continued at the UPward International Student Film Festival.
