THE WORKSHOP "CHANGING THE STORY" IS HELD IN THE UP
The University of Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina" in partnership with the University of Bournemouth has organized an initial workshop under the project "Changing the Story", funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). On the first day of the workshop the project partner organization, Station-Center for Contemporary Art was hosting, while the second day of the workshop was held at the Faculty of Philosophy of UP.
Prof. asoc. dr. Merita Berisha – Koçinaj, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation in UP, welcomed the participants and the workshop, pointing out that research projects such as “Changing the Story”, which include international and local partners, are very important for the University and the country.

The initial workshop was organized in order to discuss the opportunities for civic education of youth in Kosovo through art. The Kosovo branch of the "Changing the Story" project will explore and work with various organizations in the country to build, discover and develop new ways of engaging young people through arts. The project combines research and application components with the aim of producing alternative practices that will be proposed to formal and informal education institutions, as well as production of academic research and publications. This will be achieved in cooperation with four local partners working with art and youth in several municipalities of Kosovo, including: Station-Center for Contemporary Art (Prishtina), Anibar (Peja), 7 Arte (Mitrovica), Aktiv (North Mitrovica) and Varg e Vi (Gjilan). Other local and international organizations were also present at the workshop, including: Kosovo 2.0, Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR), Seldom Heard Voices and Opera Circus as well as independent researchers.
