THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS ORGANIZES THE CONFERENCE WITH THE TITLE “MIGRATION, DIASPORA AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT”

The second international scientific conference titled “Migration, Diaspora and Economic Development” was held in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”.

The second edition of the conference was attended by Academics, professors, and researchers from European Universities, from the region and Kosova.

The conference’s work was opened by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Marjan Dema, who expressed his enthusiasm for the work this conference has done, which he hopes will also be organized in the following years, and will be made as a traditional activity of the UP.
“This conference is a great success, in the scientific area, where the UP has achieved great success in the last few months, exceeding our expectations by reaching a high level in important global databases at the ranking of knowledge as well as scientific institutions,” said Dema.

Rector Dema wished the participants a successful conference while asking them to discuss and exchange experiences, because according to him, all what can be learned and studied is endless.

The present participants were greeted from the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Dr. But Dedaj. He said that he hopes in a further cooperation with the French University “Nice Sophia Antipolis”, as well as in the double promotion of students.

The work of the two-day conference was also greeted by Mr. Izmi Zeka, the vice-minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, by Srdjan Redzepagic, professor from the University of France “Cote d’Azur”, as well as from Alessandra Roccasalvo, representative of UNDP.

The presented works in the two days of this conference will be published in the Conference Book, whereas the selected works will be published in the Scientific Magazine “Balkan Economic Review”, by the ISBN number: 978-9951-711-21-0, which was enabled thanks to the cooperation with “The University Nice Sophia Antipolis” from France.

The scientific conference was organized with the support of the United Nations Development – UNDP.
