THE EUROPEAN UNION SUMMER SCHOOL BEGINS IN THE UP

The first day of European Union Summer School has begun today in the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”. It is organized by the European Young Cell Alumni project and the UP, as well as supported by the European Union Office in Kosova. This school’s projects were complimented by Prof. Assoc. Dr. Merita Koçinaj – Berisha, Vice-Rector for international affairs, who expressed her happiness for the fact that a school of such caliber is being organized in the University of Prishtina.

“Bringing such experiences which are connected with the challenges and perspectives of BREXIT, the enlargement of EU, and the regional collaboration in the Balkans, including the final debate on these topics that this summer school expects, will contribute on the strengthening and development of a more modern society in our country, as well as an easier access towards the EU integration.”

By this, Mr. Ezio Benedetti – head of the Young Cell Scheme project (Round XI-XII) wished the students to have many benefits from this summer school, while thanking the UP for the cooperation they have shown in organizing this activity.

Meanwhile, Nida Krasniqi – member of the European Young Cell Alumni (EYCA) board gave more information about the opportunity that EYCA offers to the students, while saying that the participation in this summer school is a rare opportunity which the students should not miss.

The EU Summer School seventh edition’s topic is “BREXIT, EU Enlargement and the Regional Cooperation in the Western Balkans: Challenges and Perspectives”.

The EU Summer School 2018 will last three days, where international and local eminent professors will lecture for the student participants.
