The third issue of the journal "Kosova Anthropologica" has been published online.

The journal, published by the Department of Anthropology at the University of Prishtina's Faculty of Philosophy, features new research on the latest archaeological discoveries in the ancient city of Phoinike in southern Albania, a study on Vlach-Aromanian music and migration dynamics in Albania, and an analysis of a matchmaking platform for the Albanian diaspora that focuses on connections and marriages within the community.

Readers can also find a book review examining ideas and assumptions about race in communist Albania. This issue fully reflects the journal's collaborative and interdisciplinary vision, combining ethnomusicology, social anthropology, and archaeology.

The Editor-in-Chief of "Kosova Anthropologica," Professor Arsim Canolli, said the journal is establishing its tradition with each new issue.

“Now that we have three volumes, we can talk about a track record, and the editorial board is confident to move forward. We aim to grow and open new opportunities in the coming years to advance anthropology in Kosova and the wider region,” stated Professor Canolli.

He thanked the authors for submitting their work, as well as the anonymous reviewers and editors for their contributions, noting that all work is done voluntarily.

In a significant step, "Kosova Anthropologica" joined the global "Open Journals Collective" (OJC) in November. Through the journal's inclusion, the University of Prishtina has also become part of the European EDCH/DIAMAS network.

Furthermore, following a request by the "Kosova Anthropologica" editorial staff, the journal was accepted in January 2025 into the internationally recognized Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). This achievement also marks the inclusion of Kosovo in this prestigious database.
