The Senate unanimously approved the appointment of two professors in the Department of Balkan Studies at the Faculty of Philology, following a job call that had been announced in September 2025.

During the session, the review and approval of the Regulation on the Work of the Statutory Matters Commission of the University of Prishtina was postponed to the next meeting. Meanwhile, several doctoral dissertation topics were ratified and approved after being endorsed by the Central Council for Doctoral Studies.

Senators revoked a prior decision concerning an emeritus professorship title at the University of Prishtina due to unmet obligations. The Senate also upheld the Ethics Council's decision to suspend another professor from supervising student theses at all levels of study for one year.

On this occasion, Rector Arben Hajrullahu invited the entire academic community within and beyond the University of Prishtina to submit proposals for emeritus professorship titles and other honors, as provided for under the relevant regulations in force.

The December Senate meeting was the last one for 2025.
