Second Day of Prishtina Summer University: German Professor’s Public Lecture and Student Short Films

Pristina, 8 July 2025 – On Tuesday, during the second day of the Prishtina Summer International University, two key events followed the regular morning lectures: 

Public Lecture by Prof. Armin Bahl

At the Modelarium of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Armin Bahl from the University of Konstanz elucidated the neural mechanisms underlying behaviors in vertebrates and invertebrates. Together with Prof. Ilir Mazreku, he is leading a hands-on neurobiology course exploring animal behavior. 

Launch of the “UPward” Festival

The second edition of the “UPward” International Student Film Festival commenced at the Kosovo National Theatre. Over the next four days, the event will screen short films by local and international students and host workshops and discussions with filmmakers. 

In the coming days, students will participate in lectures by diverse faculty members, practical laboratory sessions, study visits to Pristina’s cultural landmarks, film-themed evenings as part of the UPward Festival, and a variety of additional activities.
