Pristina, July 15 – On the ninth day of the Summer University, the morning lectures continued as scheduled, including an open session for the public, alongside a variety of cultural, social, and recreational activities.

Lecture by Japanese Professor Kohei Arai

Professor Kohei Arai from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Saga University in Japan delivered an open lecture titled “The Evolution of Artificial Intelligence and Its Application to Predictive Analytics and Big Data Analysis for Business.”

Professor Arai is currently lecturing on these topics at the Pristina International Summer University in collaboration with Professor Arbnor Pajaziti of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Earlier this week, Arai emphasized that Kosovo and the University of Pristina have become his second home.

Meeting with UCL students

The Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange, Prof. Rozafa Basha, met with students from University College London (UCL) and students from the diaspora.

During a warm and friendly meeting, discussions focused on identifying ways to strengthen collaboration, particularly through the exchange of experiences and knowledge between students and professors from both higher education institutions.

Vice-Rector Basha urged the visiting students to promote UP (University of Prishtina) and the Summer University to their peers, professors, and the management of UCL.

Visit to the Pristina Observatory

Participants of the Summer University later visited the Pristina Observatory, which resumed operations in 2022 and is housed within the Palace of Youth and Sports complex. During the late evening hours, attendees engaged in astronomical observation using telescopes at the facility.

Open-Air Dinner with Dining and Live Music

The international evening with food and music transformed the courtyard of the Rectorate into a vibrant meeting scene, where after a day filled with lectures, local and international students and professors relaxed amidst the aromas of dishes, drinks, and the sounds of music performed by Professor Dukagjin Muhaxheri and his band. The festivities began with an elegant rhythmic gymnastics performance by a student from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports.

The embassies of Hungary and Italy, along with the German organization DAAD, set up informational booths about scholarships and exchange opportunities.

Tomorrow, the Summer University continues with all planned activities: educational, cultural, and sporting events.
