ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE CURRENT COMPETITION FOR THE ACADEMIC STAFF ELECTION 11/09/2018

The University of Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina" is committed to conduct the process of closing the competition regarding elections, re-elections and advancements of the academic staff in a transparent manner and in accordance with the acts in force.

During the competition period, concerns were raised by civil society and some media about the advancement of eight professors of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, who have advanced in the academic calls of the teachers’ category. The concerns of the parties have been focused on the number of works published by these professors within a period of one year, in magazines which are considered unreliable by the parties.

Therefore, the UP management encourages all interested parties, who have arguments based on their concerns, to deposit such evidence in the archives of the Rectorate of the University of Prishtina. Archived evidence will be reviewed by independent bodies of the University and if it is considered that the same are in contravention of the acts in force, the competent authorities of UP will undertake the necessary legal actions.

All evidence must be filed within seven days from the day of the publication of this announcement, respectively until 17/09/2018.
