Pristina, July 17 – On the eleventh day of the International Summer University of Pristina, a workshop, an open lecture, and morning sessions across its 16 courses were organized.

Italian Professor Maria Iannario from the Department of Political Science at the University of Naples "Federico II" led a workshop titled From Data to Action: Uncertainty in Research and Dialogue with Industry. The workshop, funded by KUSA and the U.S. Embassy, was also attended by Professor Claudia Tarantola. It brought together academics and industry representatives to discuss the role of data in decision-making, challenges of uncertainty in ordinary data, and to deepen collaboration between scientific research and the private sector.

Professor Iannario, alongside her colleague Prof. Albulena Shala from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Pristina, taught a joint course throughout the Summer University. Their course focused on analyzing economic data and using advanced computer programs and technology to enable financial and banking services.

Meanwhile, in another venue at the University of Pristina, Political Science Professor Tosh Minohara from Japan’s Kobe University delivered an open lecture titled Quo Vadis Indo-Pacific?: Bracing for a Post Pax-Americana World from Japan's Perspective. Professor Minohara also co-taught a course during the Summer University with Prof. Sabri Kiçmari from the Faculty of Philosophy. Together, they lectured on Japan’s foreign and security policy over the past 150 years.

In the afternoon, Professor Gentrit Berisha, who taught this year’s course on Generation Z leadership—focusing on digital natives born and raised in the internet era, sat in a circle with his students in the courtyard of the University Rectorate to discuss various topics of everyday life.

Tomorrow, a closing ceremony will mark the conclusion of the University of Pristina’s flagship internationalization initiative.
