Call for Applications – Semiconductor Scholarship at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan

The University of Prishtina is pleased to announce the call for applications for the Semiconductor Scholarship, provided by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with five leading Taiwanese universities. Eligible students from Kosovo have the opportunity to study at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) in semiconductor-related academic programs.

This scholarship offers an excellent chance to pursue advanced courses in Taiwan’s National Key Field Research Academy and to gain international experience in one of the most important global industries.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must hold Kosovar nationality.
  • Open to Master’s and Doctoral students, as well as exchange and double-degree students in semiconductor-related programs.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled students at the University of Prishtina in relevant fields of study.
  • Applicants must not have previously enrolled in an equivalent degree program in Taiwan.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Tuition grant:
    • Up to NT$60,000 per semester for exchange/double-degree students
    • Up to NT$120,000 per academic year (max. 2 years for Master’s, 4 years for Doctoral students)
  • Airfare: Reimbursement of economy-class round-trip ticket between Taiwan and Kosovo (up to NT$50,000 per one-way ticket, receipts required).
  • Monthly stipend:
    • NT$30,000 (≈ €880) for exchange/double-degree and Master’s students
    • NT$40,000 (≈ €1,175) for Doctoral students

All reimbursements and payments are subject to availability of funds and require official receipts.

Academic Requirements

  • Awardees must attend and complete semiconductor-related courses at NSYSU.
  • Exchange students must pass at least two relevant courses.
  • All awardees must comply with NSYSU regulations and Taiwanese law.
