In the framework of the USAID-funded World Learning-Translational Leadership Program, a workshop "From the Farm to Table-Poultry Production" is being held with lecturers from the College of Veterinary Medicine College-University of Minnesota University and lecturers from the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary-University of Prishtina.

This workshop is attended by 26 students from various departments of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary and aims to enhance their professional level on the integration of safe systems in the production of poultry and eggs.

The Officer of the World Learning-Translational Leadership Program is Prof. Ass. Karin Hamilton form the College of Veterinary Medicine-University of Minnesota and the key components of this 4 year twinning project between the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary and the University of Minnesota are the academic mobility through which up to now eight teachers and teaching assistants have had fellowships at the University of Minnesota to be trained in teaching, research methodology and professional development and 7 Visits from the staff of the University of Minnesota at the University of Pristina have been accomplished to support the teaching process, improving the climate for research.

In addition, the functionalization of small animal clinic has been supported, by bringing and implementing several protocols for the clinic and laboratories and a large number of university textbooks has been donated.

One of the most important activities is the support in drafting the business plan for the opening of the Food and Veterinary Institute and the preparation of a strategic plan for the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary for the next 5 years.
