On the 26th and 28th of September, the University of Prishtina and its partners of the project Erasmus+ Capacity Building “Creating theory to practice centers for innovation and employment” (CTPCIE) visited the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), a Bulgarian partner. Within the agenda, partners visited the Innovation Center “Sofia Tech Park”. During the year 2012 and 2015, the company developed scientific research infrastructure with the support of the Bulgarian innovative business, and created approximately 40,000 m2 of construction space, which has also been renovated to accommodate applied research laboratories, a general incubator, innovative lecture, education, discussion forums, etc.

The visit continued with a session on existing T2P models in UNWE. Institute for Postgraduate Studies (IPS), which is an example of the possible T2P model for Kosova, was presented in front of the partners. IPS has a special legal status and position inside UNWE, where the supportive administrative financing is done by the university, whereas the state supports it through programs/competency centers, and specific excellence centers. The institution functions through the usage of a self-supported base. IPS offers professional trainings, consultancy, research, and publication for its clients. The consultancy is provided through Training Centers such as:

  1. The Center for Economy and Management
  2. The Center for Finance and Accounting
  3. The Center for Quality and International Projects Management
  4. The Center of Professional Training
  5. The Center of Optional Education

The other workshop included the presentation of the models of case studies, which were used from UNWE. The third, respectively the last day of the workshop was dedicated to the presentation on the adjustment of T2P centers, which will be established in every partner institution in Kosova. The project will continue with the seminar on identifying the methodology of case studies, which will be shared to the existing partnership, as well as to external actors.

It was an interesting experience and brought out many aspects of how the project would continue.
