The Vice-Rector of the University of Cabo Verde is notified for the Prishtina’s University achievements
During his visit to the University of Prishtina's facilities, Celestino Barros, Vice-Rector for Technology, Innovation, and Data at Cabo Verde University, received detailed information about the successes and challenges faced by Kosovo's leading higher education institution.
Vice-Rector Barros was welcomed by Rector Prof. Arben Hajrullahu and Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange Prof. Rozafa Basha.
The introductory meeting explored potential cooperation opportunities between the two universities, aligning with UP's ongoing efforts to expand internationalization, networking, and global outreach across all continents.
Discussions particularly focused on possible cooperation in medicine, computer science, and the teaching of Portuguese at the Language Center of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Prishtina, given that Portuguese is the official language of Cabo Verde.
Vice-Rector Barros is currently in Kosovo as a participant in the international conference "KosovaPAR 2025," organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the University of Prishtina, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora. He served as a panelist yesterday in one of the conference discussion sessions.
Cabo Verde, an island nation in West Africa, operates a public university that offers studies in education, economics, science and technology, arts, and social and human sciences.
