THE UP AND EUROMETAL LTD (SH.P.K) SIGNED A MEMORANDUM FOR THE COLLABORATION IN THE FIELD OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES

The University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Eurometal LTD (SH.P.K). This Memorandum foresees the link of collaboration in the field of technical sciences through the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the UP and the Eurometal LTD (SH.P.K).

The Memorandum was signed by Prof. Dr. Marjan Dema, Rector of the UP, Mr. Njazi Musliu, owner of Eurometal, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Shala, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Rector Dema expressed his happiness for achieving the formalization of this collaboration which, according to him, will contribute to the mission that the studies in the UP be even more correlated with the market needs for practical work and scholarships.

Meanwhile Mr. Musliu said that they feel honored to be signing the Memorandum with the University of Prishtina, the principal knowledge institution in the country. He said that they will be happy to help the students of the UP, while speaking of his company success in the European market.

The Memorandum was also considered to be useful by Prof. Dr. Faton Berisha, Vice-Rector for scientific research in the UP, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Shala, Dean of FM (FIM). Vice-Rector Berisha said that except for the part of practical job and the scholarships for the students, this collaboration will also bring benefits in the involvement of the industry experts in the educational process, mainly in compiling the curriculum. Whereas, Dean Shala highly evaluated the collaboration which his Faculty has had with Eurometal these last years, while expressing his happiness for the fact that this collaboration is being broadened by including other faculties and fields.

The Memorandum of Understanding will be focused in the field of technical sciences, making all three sides agree that there exists a common interest in establishing a life term, technical, educational and scientific collaboration. Among other things, the agreement includes the insurance of practicum and scholarships for students, the involvement of industry experts in the educational process, as well as collaboration in joint research projects.
