RECTOR DEMA VISITS THE STUDENTS’ PARLIAMENT – CONGRATULATES THE NEW BOARD

Prof. dr. Marjan Dema, Rector of the University of Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina", visited the Student Parliament Office of the University of Prishtina today, where he was welcomed in the meeting by the new board of this body. Accompanied by prof. dr. Dashamir Berxulli, Vice Rector of the UP, Dema congratulated the new SP board for taking the highest student representation body position within the University.

During this meeting, Rector Dema emphasized the willingness of the management to cooperate closely with the Student Parliament, in order to push forward processes that benefit the quality and the functioning of this institution.

Dema informed the students about the recent progress in the UP, as he asked them to be as critical and objective in their work as possible. "I am very keen on vivifying the student life, mainly by creating student clubs for common interests, so that students have the opportunity to debate on various topics such as: reading, sports, etc., and from here to create leaders who we lack in our society, "said Rector Dema among others things.

Arben Elshani, head of the Student Parliament, thanked Rector Dema and Vice Rector Berxulli for the visit, as he considered the representation of student as a job of high responsibility.

He expressed great optimism that together with the UP managerial structures they will work closely in the well-functioning of the University. "We believe that we will have good cooperation with student councils within the faculties, with the management, the Steering Council and administration, in order to create a better environment for the UP students, "said Elshani.

Coming to the Presidency of the Student Parliament, the present students were also welcomed by Vice Rector Berxulli. He invited them to start organizing activities for the student life to be more active, as he promised that his time is at the disposal of students at all times.

The meeting continued with the conversation between Rector Dema and other representatives of the SP, present at this meeting.

The new chairmanship of the Student Parliament, led by the student Arben Elshani, has been given the mandate since the 1st of October of this year.
