Kosovo is successfully represented in the Atlas Florae Europaeae

Kosovo is successfully represented in the Atlas Florae Europaeae (Volume 17) published in Helsinki in 2018. This is achieved thanks to the successful work of Elez Krasniqi (Professor of Flora and Vegetation of Kosovo at the University of Prishtina). 

For this successful representation of our country, professor Krasniqi is very grateful to the Secretariat of the Committee for Mapping the Flora of Europe, composed by Pertti Uotila, Arto Kurto and Aleksander Sennikov.

Atlas Florae Europaeae (AFE) is a long-term program which designs the distribution of vascular plants in Europe.  The project was launched in 1965 as an effort for co-operation among European botanists. Since then, its Secretariat was set up at the Museum of Natural History in Helsinki.
