58th Anniversary of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering: Everything for the Development of Kosovo
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Prishtina celebrated its 58th anniversary with a solemn ceremony, pledging that will continue to do everything for the development of Kosovo.
Founded in 1967 as the former Faculty of Machinery, it was stated that its existence and development were far from easy. However, the various challenges, not only academic ones, faced throughout its history have made this faculty, its teaching staff, and its students stronger and more resilient.
The faculty is focused on the continuous improvement of teaching, scientific research, and laboratory equipment. Through daily work, it also strengthens its connections with industry, manufacturing enterprises, and the job market.
According to data provided by the FME leadership, 95 percent of those who earn a bachelor's degree from this faculty are employed. It was also announced that efforts are underway to achieve one hundred percent employment for those who complete a master's degree.
On the faculty's 58th anniversary, an institution that began its work even before the establishment of the University of Prishtina, it was emphasized that investing in knowledge is the best possible investment.
Addressing the attendees were the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Prof. Arben Hajrullahu; the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Mirlind Bruçi; academic Jorgaq Kaçani; and several professors who have made lifelong contributions to the faculty.
Furthermore, professors with exceptional achievements at the FME, those who concluded their academic careers at the faculty, educators who imparted knowledge and education to entire generations of students, and several partner institutions were honored with awards of gratitude.
